Review: I’ve been seeing Fryda for cut and color for a year now and my hair has never been healthier. In just a year, I’ve noticed faster growth and thicker hair and I believe it’s due to the long term planning she does at every appointment. She always plans for the future health of my hair and not just what will look good for now, and it shows. I started off just getting cuts with her and I appreciate that she balances my wants with what is realistic and best for my hair type and texture. Even air dried, my hair has never looked better, it has so much movement and shine and I love her layering technique! We’ve been working on maintaining the fullness of my hair while leaving room for those tik tok layers we all love. I only started doing color in October and I have very black hair naturally, so it’s been a slower process so as to not fry my hair. Thanks to her long term planning and my meticulous at-home hair routine, it was healthy enough that she was able to get it to this gorgeous mushroom/bronde tone in our second session! Fryda’s work speaks for itself but it’s her personality that also keeps me coming back. It feels like I’m seeing a friend every single time and it’s just cozy and welcoming in there. She’s so funny and kind on top of being extremely talented. Her pricing is very fair to me given the hours and hours of work she puts in for each appointment, she truly is a perfectionist. Part of me doesn’t want to leave this review because it’s already hard to get an appointment with her, but her work is too good not to share, especially for my fellow brunettes. The salon itself is lovely as well, the receptionist is always warm and there’s a ton of beverage options which I appreciate. All that to say, I love my hair very much, thank you Fryda 🙂

Review: I’ve been a loyal client of Joanna’s for quite some time, and I can’t praise her enough! With my fine, straight hair, each bob or lob haircut she crafts becomes my new favorite. Despite my hectic schedule, the cut grows out so evenly that I can extend the time between appointments without sacrificing the style. Joanna is an absolute magician with hair, and her patience and kindness truly set her apart! She’s definitely a one-of-a-kind stylist.

Review: I truly don’t like leaving bad reviews and I have let some less than stellar haircuts slide. This experience was awful and has left me with damaged hair. I had a “deep conditioning” treatment that left my scalp itchy for days and has since destroyed my wave pattern. I asked for a stylist who has experience with wavy hair, the receptionist assured me all of the stylists do. That’s just not true, many really only know how to cut straight or very mildly wavy hair. The stylist overthinned my hair and did a poor job cutting bangs. It looked ok leaving the salon with styling but since it has fallen flat and looks torn up. I trimmed the stringy ends on my own to try to restore some volume. I’ll just have to deal with horrible looking hair for a year while it grows out. I’ve had friends comment about how bad it is, that they see my volume and waves are gone.If your employees are not talented in cutting textured hair, please don’t mislead clients into believing they can. I will never return to this salon as my trust is broken. And whatever the “deep conditioner” is (maybe it had relaxer in it?) Please stop using it.

Review: I do not know anything about hair, but I wanted my long hair to look better and not be in my face when I am working. I asked the delightful young lady, Emily, to give me a haircut and do whatever she felt necessary to make it look more neat and presentable. Which, of course, she did so masterfully! She made my curly hair even more curly just by cutting and layering it which I was thrilled to see. I feel I look much better now having gone!Also the atmosphere of the salon is wonderful. A brightly lit house with many smiling faces who were all so pleasant and accommodating! Much better than a row of chairs in a strip mall which I am much more accustomed to! I will certainly continue coming to this salon!
