Review: Jolin was amazing! She did a Brazilian blowout for me and it was just the best experience. I’m from out of town, but I had gotten my hair colored by Jolin years ago when she was at another salon. To this day, it’s the only coloring experience I’ve been truly satisfied with. I had been trying to find her since then and finally came across her profile on the Fringe website… booked with her immediately! She is the sweetest person to talk to and she definitely knows what she’s doing. I will be coming back to her for sure!

Review: Allie was extremely personable and did a great job on my hair. That is why I gave her 5 stars. I only had one comment: one of my pet peeves is to checkout and then find a bunch of extra charges on the bill (surprise charges). She said she wanted to pull the color from the roots through the hair, but neglected to tell me there would be a charge for that (I’ve never been charged for that before). She also added an extra conditioner for $5 and didn’t mention that to me as well – I found out when checking out. It’s always better to be honest and transparent with guests so there are no “surprises” when the bill comes. That leaves a very bad taste in customers’ mouths no matter how good the service is. I don’t want to be in the position where whenever she suggests something *I* have to ASK HER what the extra charge will be. That is makes me very uncomfortable. She should be telling me before performing the service so I can decide if I want to do it and there are no unpleasant surprises when checking out. When I called to price out the appointment, I was told roots plus cut was $175. So I budgeted for $175 plus tip, which would have been $210. I ended up paying $264 incl. the 20% tip which makes me think twice about coming back.

Review: Hind is seriously a miracle worker! I had a great stylist in Wisconsin who did a great job on my bangs, but I obviously had to find someone new when we moved to Houston.The first two places I went both messed up my bangs (and took two stylists each to try and work on them in the first place and they still messed them up). The second place I went to left me with a horrible all over cut. I had uneven bangs, too-short bangs (she insisted on wet cutting them even when I told her bangs are supposed to be cut dry), uneven face framing, and a large chunk out of one side of my hair. It looked awful and I cried after it was done.About two months after the terrible haircut had grown out a bit, I requested an appointment at Fringe and asked for the best person to fix bad bangs and Hind was recommended. And let me tell you, she is freaking fantastic!She walked me through how the bangs and hair should have been cut, exactly what the other people did wrong, and then explained what she was going to do to fix my hair. And then she DID it!My hair still has a ways to go before her hard work will pay off because a couple places still have to grow in more before she can blend it all in and fix it the rest of the way, but even the in-progress cut is five million times better than what I had.And on top of her excellent skills, she’s super sweet! I’m so happy I found someone so talented to take care of my hair!

Review: I had an appointment with Zoe for a wash and style and let me tell you what an amazing experience it was. From start to finish, she made me feel comfortable throughout the whole process. This being the first time I was at a salon, it was the most relaxing time getting my hair washed. She was very informative about the products and techniques to get that blowout look for your hair. Zoe is a great stylist and will do wonders on your hair!
